Nike Zoom Gravity
Design
Let’s begin with how these trainers look. They are stunning. The Nike Zoom Gravity trainers comes in men’s and women’s sizes and in a range of colors, so you are sure to find one that fits your style!
There is an ample range in terms of the colors, but many of them tend to be dark with the signature Nike tick logo on the inner and external sides. It’s not a bad design, but an unusual one for Nike! Whether they are taking inspiration from other brands or not is unclear, but you should still enjoy the appearance of these trainers.
They come in a stylish shape and feature a raised midsole. The point of this is to offer you superior comfort while you walk or run in the trainers. We will discuss the midsole in more detail later on, so be sure to check that out if it interests you!
If you are into your trainers, you will notice that the Zoom Gravity looks similar to the Zoom Fly and the Vaporfly Next%! They feature the same design and use similar fabrics. You can expect a synthetic mesh on the upper of the trainer and rubber soles too.
One thing that stands out with the design is how light these trainers are! The weight does vary slightly depending on the size and sex of the shoe, but you can expect a lightweight trainer that feels pleasant to run in. put it this way, you won’t need to worry about picking your feet up in these trainers!
Comfort
A vital factor to consider when shopping for running trainers is the comfort of them. You don’t want blisters or your feet to be on fire by the end of your run, do you? Nike’s Zoom Gravity shoes shouldn’t do that to you!
These trainers have been created with comfort in mind. The raised midsole is designed to offer more comfort while you move and is extremely cushioned. The squishy material cushions your foot from the vibrations and shock as you hit the ground at speed.
You can expect a soft and comfortable experience in these trainers. The inner sole features dual-density foam to ensure that the trainers are comfortable. You can expect a thick and cushioned feeling while you are running. Some customers did find these soles to be a little too soft for them, which can impact your running performance. Again, we have more on this later, so stick with us for some extra details!
Overall, when running, little shock was felt through users’ ankles and calves, making them an excellent choice for those looking to reduce the impact on their body and experience comfortable and cozy feet!
It’s always worth remembering that they don’t always provide the best airflow with thick cushioned soles. It’s something to be mindful of when purchasing these trainers. It might be with adding some odor spray or replacement soles for those with, especially smelly feet!
Traction
The last thing any of us want is to slip and fall due to our shoes, meaning we all carefully consider the traction when shoe shopping. Thankfully, Nike’s trainers feature a rubber sole designed to provide stability and traction while you run.
You’ll get excellent traction on a range of surfaces, so no matter where you like to run, your feet will stay firmly on the ground! Customers were happy with the traction on these trainers and reported no issues with them!
Teamed with the comfort and unique design of the trainers, you are sure to find you won’t slip on surfaces or feel all the impact of your foot striking the ground. As always with running, we recommend taking care of extremely slippery surfaces such as ice and wet sidewalks to avoid any injury. While these trainers are good, they aren’t unstoppable!
Any issues?
We know, so far, it’s been a rave, and you must be wondering, could there be a downside to these trainers? But, as with all things in life, these trainers aren’t perfect, and it wouldn’t be an excellent review if we didn’t showcase the bad as well as the good, would it?
So let’s get into it! The Nike Zoom Gravity, as we mentioned, have a raised midsole to add extra comfort, but there is a downside. The midsole is large, and while that might not be a problem on its own, it doesn’t bounce back much. It is also incredibly soft and squishy, but not in the way you would want.
You are likely to feel too comfortable in these shoes rather than ready to run and train. While comfort is essential for all kinds of running, you need structure and support, as well as softness. If you struggle to run successfully in very soft and squishy shoes, then these trainers aren’t the ones for you.
Nike Zoom Gravity shoes aren’t the best for those with wide feet either. The trainer is quite narrow, especially around the toes. If you have wide feet or like to have some more space across the toe box, we recommend steering clear of these trainers. There is no point parting with your money if you aren’t going to be comfortable.
It’s worth noting, too, that these trainers take a while to break in. The synthetic mesh used for the upper of these trainers takes a while to break in, so you might find the first few runs uncomfortable until the trainer stretches and adapts to your foot.
Some customers found a better performance sizing up one shoe size with these trainers. They found the trainer more comfortable and a better fit than their usual size. It might be worth ordering multiple sizes or popping to your local store to try the trainer on to find the right size for you.
How much?
Price is a factor we all have to consider and ensure that the shoes are budget-friendly before purchasing! Thankfully, you won’t have to worry too much about the cost of the Nike Zoom Gravity trainers.
The price varies depending on the color and size of the shoes! It’s worth being aware of this when selecting your chosen color. However, they range from affordable to reasonably priced, so you aren’t likely to be priced out of your favorite color!
As with all things in life, be sure you set a budget and stick to it as best as possible. Consider how often you will wear the trainers and how long they will last you before purchasing to ensure you are getting the best value for your money!
Final Verdict
And just like that, we have reached the end of our journey together. As you can see, the Nike Zoom Gravity trainers are a fantastic option for beginner or intermediate runners. The cushioned soles and excellent traction will provide you with an excellent trainer for running, and the wide range of colors ensures there is a trainer to suit every style!
However, for those serious or professional runners, these trainers might not be the best bet. Consider the high midsole and their very squishy soles before making your decision.
We think these make great trainers, and if you do too, you can grab them here! Why not pick your favorite color and hit your favorite running route in style?
